(no subject)
so i've been sick all weekend. which sucks for many reasons, the first being annie is home, and we were gonna have the good times, but that's hard when those consist of me laying down and dozing while she makes a collage, me laying down and dozing while she watches gremlins, and my laying down and, well, sleeping in my bed while she sits in my chair and watches britcoms. not fair to her. i did wake up, somewhat, to watch the season premiere of scrubs that i had taped for her, and to look through some magazines for her collage, but for the most part, it was me feeling crappy and trying not to move.
so since i've been sick, i've been throwing up some interesting stuff. i was brushing my teeth after the last incident when suddenly one of my back molars started to hurt. and...a piece of my tooth fell off. and i SWALLOWED it. gross! even after a good dose of listerine, it still hurt, so i took a cautious look....
i feel i should preface this with some tooth history. about 2 or 3 years ago, my dentist discovered a had a cavity in my back molar that was really deep. like, i almost had a root canal deep. but he filled it and my back molar has always had that lovely pretty much all gray silvery filling color. but i didn't care, because it didn't hurt anymore and it was in the back anyways. also, due to the fact that i have a 'nervous' stomach and throw up a lot, coupled with the fact that i have low quality enamel on my teeth or something, i usually had at least one small cavity every time i went to the dentist. i'm actually very meticulous about my teeth, i brush and floss and all that good stuff.
so apparently, they didn't get all the cavity when they filled it a couple years ago or something, because when i looked...there was not much tooth left. it was like tooth, filling filling filling other stuff. and it hurts like a mother. my mom looked at it and was like, 'oh, sorry baby'. and........it's a holiday weekend. no dentists as far as the eye can see until tuesday. why don't they have dental emergency rooms????? i'm crossing my fingers that when my aunt gets here for dinner (she's a dental hygenist person), she can tell me some miracle, no pain until tuesday cure. but let me tell you, i smell a root canal in my future.
plus, when i was exploring my back molars, i noticed a couple new molars trying to come in where there have been no molars before. wisdom teeth? i bet so....i am so looking forward to the dentist, woo-hooo.
oh wait, the best part, hahaha, i get to go into work now. and answer phones. FUN. i'm just gonna hope that a)i don't throw up again and b)no more of my teeth decide to fall out. ugh.
