Its not often I find a book that I try to read as fast as I talk.
Makers by Cory Doctorow
is one of the few. Its a slight sideways adn slightly futuristic set about micro-companies and the mad things that excellent geeks can do/make/create/build/fuxor when they have unlimited time and a random supply of bits.
I'm only 80 pages in, and not even slightly technically minded and I can see the appeal this kind of work would have for so many people; both producers and consumers. Unrealistic thus far in the real world I think, but still an exciting read.

I am still awaiting the next section of the story of Kvothe, started in The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, I suspect I (along with everyone else) shall be waiting a while. Still, it's and excellent pick it up and read a chapter book, over and again.

I finished
The Way of Shadows by Brent Weeks
yesterday, really enjoyed the first two thirds, seemed a bit lacklustre towards the end. Book 1 of 3, will start the second later this week I think.
It's full of the kind of names kids invent for their heroes and villains, with a satisfying plot to chew over and imagine where else it could have gone if X had done Z instead of Y.
