Pryde's Pride
I had forgotten just how much I really enjoy Battletech. That has been what most of the weekend and week has been filled with. I went to the tourney on friday and did lose. I did go 2-1, but that is definately not good enough to win. Oh well... made me feel better. Now I went to another tounrey sunday and won there, so I managed to get th unique figure for the month. Jeremy also went to play and he came in second, which was cool... he is getting much better and it is really showing. Then when not at the tourney I just got MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries, which is an incredible mechwarrior game. It is jsut incredibly fun. The added management of money and jumping from system to system, choosing which missions you want to do... it really adds soemthing to the whole experience. That and they completely modelled the tournament fighting world of Solaris perfectly. I spent most of my time there making my way to be the Grand Champion, this took me a long time. I did beat that game today though, which was cool, and it was an enjoyble game. It has enogh replay with its multiplayer support. Good thing I finished it too as I got MechAssault in today. This is an action mech game for the xbox... now you say I don't have an xbox... well lets also say I have little willpower when it comes to things like this (not really, but). So I have been spending tonight rewiring my entertainment system, and playing some MechAssault. It is extrememly pretty and really intense. I will wait till I have played it more to give a full review... so far though it was a worthwhile buy.
Like I had said I had forgotten just how much I enjoy the Battletech Universe. I have been into it since 7th grade, and have always to some degree lept up on the story, and been interested in it. It is nice to see it doing so well again.
I went to dinner with Beth saturday in Seattle, which was really nice. SHe took me out which was even cooler. We went to a really nice Italian restaruant up by Mercer Arena. Then to the Cheesecake Factory for dessert. (would I have asked to go anywhere else?) So it was a really enjoyable time. I then went out for a drink when I got back at E9 and that was cool, it was very relaxing and was the first time I have had a drink since my bday. It is nice being 21 and being able to get a drink if I want one.
So that is that... have to register for classes friday, finish my computer science contract sometime quickly... and then I will be set to graduate in may. : ) I can't wait. I am looking forward to it right now, I am really excited about what oppurtunities I will find.
Right now it is time for bed, get up tomorrow for weight training. I actually have really gotten into shape with that class. I actually have muscles now... it is... odd. It is cool though. sleep now.
