What I did on Thanksgiving Vacation by Brenda

I started with putting up insulation and a ceiling in the attic on Wednesday night. Then I went to Wal-Mart at 10:00 at night the day before Thanksgiving. It wasn't that bad. And I only didn't find one thing at the store. Thursday we went to JP's Grandma's for supper. We didn't leave there until almost midnight. We were playing Royal Rummy. I like it. I want to play it again. Friday held finishing the attic and taking all of the junk in the living room to tha attic. I also cleaned the bathroom (boys are messing). Between all the dust and junk in the attic and carrying heavy loads up two flights of stairs, I sent myself into an asthma attack. That wasn't fun. I stayed in bed the rest of the night instead of going to JP's other Grandma's birthday party. JP brought me left over pizza and ice cream though. (I think he likes me!) Saturday was JP's other family Thanksgiving. I played with JP's two little cousins while helping Jeanie cook. The girls, JP, and I made homeade turtles. And it was yummy. They grils were really proud of themselves for helping out. (They are "almost 7" and 4.) After supper we played Apples to Apples (Thank you Crystal!!). If you've never played it, you should. It is fun and easy to play. All eight of us had a blast. And I won both times (yay me!). PLUS, I had the 4 year old fall asleep on me. She's so cute. But I definitely don't want one of my own any time soon. Sunday was lounge day. And I think I deserved it. I was busy all weekend.

Today was okay. The little people were not ready to come back, but they never are. Parents don't think about keeping their kids on some kind of schedule through breaks. It makes Monday and Tuesday so hard.

Anyway...here's to a week to the HS concert and a week and a half to the Grade School concert. May my stomach and intestines survive the stress! And may I survive without having to drink myself into a stupor between now and then! (could start my rant on how concerts are wrong judge of stuff... but I've done that before...).

Hope everyone's Thanksgiving went well. Keep updating cause I read even if I don't post often.
