I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice from the other bathroom stall saying, "Hi, how are you?" Now, I'm not the type to start a conversation in the restroom, but I don't know what got into me, so I answered, somewhat embarrassed, "Doin' just fine!" And the other person said "So, what are you up to?" What kind of question is that? At this point, I was thinking this was too bizarre, so I said "Uhhh, I'm like you, just traveling!" At this point I was just trying to get out as fast as I could, when I heard another question "Can I come over?" Okay, this question was just too weird for me, but I figured I could just be polite and end the conversation. I told the person "No . . . I'm a little busy right now!" Then I heard the person say nervously, "Listen, I'll have to call you back, there's an idiot in the other stall who keeps answering all my questions!"
^ Idiotic moment to end ALL idiotic moments! Mine wasn't quite like that, no one got hurt and I didn't embarrass myself. I just kind of misplaced $20 bucks, that's all. I have NO idea where it is! But I'm thinking it's what I accidentally might have handed to the lady at the counter of the Walgreens for a purchase that totalled around . . . $5 dollars! She would have noticed and given it back, right? That's probably not what happened. I didn't go anywhere else, though, and it's not like I take my money out at home. I'm gonna keep looking, though . . .
I did another idiotic thing a couple of days ago. Yeah, I decided it would be fun to go shopping with a bunch of GIRLS! They are my homies fo' sho and I'd follow them anywhere. Yeah, even Claire's. But it was SO painful! I found out just how weak-willed women really are (they all just HAD to buy something) and it made me feel better about myself. Of course, I ended up losing $20 bucks anyway . . . :( I'M SUCH AN IDIOT! Nah, they (The Z, ilLiZzt, Mango, Suze and Inday) are pretty cool. It would have sucked if it was just anybody else and I had a good time despite the terrible situation I was in. It's all a big, colorful blur, really. Like going to Claire's, for example. The girls would walk in, look around for 5 minutes, really excited. Then they start to notice that everything is fake, plastic and made in China. So they are totally uninterested at that point and decide to loiter for a while. But the only thing they can think about is going to the next jewelry store where things are ALSO FAKE, PLASTIC AND MADE IN CHINA! They also thought I would look good wearing a tiara that says "I'M A PRINCESS" on it, which probably functions to lift the person's self-esteem. I think I'll pass . . .
I also saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with all of them later on in the day. It was a decent movie as far as remakes made by money-hungry movie executives go . . . I didn't really expect it to be better than Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory but it's not like I'm a HUGE fan of that, so I don't really see a major difference. The thing that bothered me was that it featured the most ILLOGICAL reasoning for anything I've ever heard of in my ENTIRE LIFE! Just because they print less of something doesn't make it worth more than MONEY! I mean, I'm sure this golden ticket is pretty cool. But you're living in a broken-down hovel and ya got nothing to eat! I'd save all your tuppences for a cold winter instead of spending it on an annual CANDY BAR! And what happened to Christopher Lee's neighborhood towards the end? It looked like a nuclear holocaust took place since Willy Wonka last visited the 'hood. Oh well, who cares! It wasn't to be the most thought-provoking film in existence, so I'll lay off. I guess Johnny Depp did a good job. It was mildly funny. No plot, but who cares, again, SUMMER MOVIE!
Oh yeah, Liz totally ruined the Harry Potter book for me at the bookstore and I see no reason to continue. THANKS A LOT, LIZ!
;), just kidding, I'll finish it anyway!
But honestly, the experience at the mall wasn't as bad as I originally made it out to be. I got to meet the Z in person and that's one good thing that came out of it. I also sort of got to know Inday, she seems like a cool kid, too. Good luck to her in the Air Force! I was also "officially" introduced to Emily's bro Daryl and her mom. Mom has seen me before but it was nice finally seeing her bro for the first time. She talked about him a lot in class and out, they're really close and he always sounded really cool. But it seems I'm not a fan favorite in the parent community. Like I told Liz, my approval rating is as low as George Bush's. I don't know what I can do to change that, maybe it just wasn't meant to be. Ah well . . .
Also, if you like lions and tigers and Kenya, you've GOTTA see this! Turn your sound down and enjoy. You might lose your mind but it's worth it . . .
