ok--i got it.

and it's not contagious, you'll be happy to know.

laserpointer. it's a laserpointer. the cats jump up when it darts to the ceiling. and the wall-jumping--same dealio. it's not in any of the shots b/c maybe they dart it away really fast or just flash it at the wall/ceiling for like a second, just enough to make the cats freak.

ta da! i'm brilliant!

I don't know, Z. Whole lotta ifs in that theory you got there . . . actually, there are zero 'ifs' in the entire post, I'm just being argumentative! :)You're probably right with that idea.

And I think I'm gonna have to challenge your theory. I mean, look at the third picture right there. There is no way that cat could have pounced off the bed, onto the wall, then quickly changed positions, turned its body completely around and then decided it's going to go back onto the bed where it came from! And all within the time it takes to snap a photo! It had to have been launched onto the wall by a cannon or thrown from a hole in the ceiling. There's just no explaining that image . . .

clearly, my friend, you do not own a cat. it leaped at the wall--they don't aim to go face-first into a wall, you know--clearly from an angle, gathered its body against the wall and projected itself back out? so what?

or are you talking like the last and second-to-last photos are sequential? cuz they're not. the cat did not walk on the wall the whole time the mean people were making the bed, then launch itself back. the photos aren't sequential. the cat repeatedly launched itself from bed to wall to bed to wall to bed.

Well, I KNOW it's not SEQUENTIAL! I'm just saying it's gotta be impossible to jump at a bright, red light and then discover it's not there, then decide to go back to the bed . . . and all in the time it takes to snap a photo! Oh well, who cares! I've never talked about a cat without it ending up underneath my foot for so long in my life . . . ;)
