Mostly, I read on the epilleptical in the gym, on the bus to and from work, and in the bathtub on weekend mornings. And that's pretty much 8 hours of reading time in a month. Every so often, I get another hour in out on the porch on nice days, or in a booth at the bar before coming home, but those are rare occasions.

I also usually carry a book with me to court or shopping or any time it's likely I might have to wait for something. This month it was the Voltaire that fit that role. Full of short bits so I can start and stop in a hurry.

The only really thick one from that list above was the Montesquieu, which I've been grazing in all year so far and just happened to finish in April (but of course there are other heavy duty books I read from and haven't yet finished). And the GRRM took the longest because I was trying to savor it, it was so good, as opposed to the Rousseau and the Gabaldon, which I speed-read.

Jane Eyre is one of The Redhead's sister's favorite books. She has a special Jane Eyre fistbump for when one of her happily married friends says, "Reader, I married him," which apparently they have more occasion to say than one might think. Apparently The Redhead says it, which is a good sign.

The Viral Happy Events is now the name of my New Christy Minstrels cover band.
