The author's first response I find particularly disheartening. The portion where she explained her choices was fine, but then she got defensive. She seems to think that "most people liked it" or "so-and-so interpreted it this way" must mean that I'm somehow mistaken. Does "I'm happy with this fic" mean "I'm not listening to you"? Odd...
