*smiles* As usual, everything is going well down under.
But HEY!! My down under boys need to come visit! Craig, you said you would! So, you and David have to come by soon, okay? You need to come meet Thea.
NZ film chosen to open Sydney festival
A New Zealand film has been chosen over 230 others to launch the 51st Sydney film festival, delighting both its producers and the New Zealand Film Commission.
In My Father's Den stars British actor Matthew MacFadyen (Spooks),
Australian Miranda Otto (Lord of the Rings) and Auckland teenager Emily Barclay and is a mystery-drama based on the 1972 novel by Maurice Gee.
Co-producer Trevor Haysom said he was over the moon. It is the first time a New Zealand film has opened the festival, which runs from June 11 to 26.
In My Father's Den is opening for the Syndey film festival!! *laughs* I'm so excited for Trevor. He called me yesterday and was just... bouncing. *smiles*
Things with Thea are going just... sooo well. I mean, we finally moved all of our stuff into the house... we've gone swimming in the pool. We've had family over. *grins* It's so domestic! But I love it, and I love her. She's the most amazing person I've ever met, and I wouldn't change any of it for the world. Speaking of which... I have a secret.
*smiles* Liv, call me.
