It is now Fall (I hope)

It may be a bit premature to declare that Fall (or Autumn or whatever) has arrived, but this is the first time in months I've seen a week's worth of weather forecasts and not a single day is predicted to hit 90. Plus that it's October now, which is more like the second month of Fall in many places.

This week I talked to two companies on the phone about jobs. Hopefully they'll get back to me soon, with a positive response. I also have another phone interview scheduled for next week, though this is the third time rescheduling it. I hope they actually call this time. Then there's the career fair in a couple of weeks.

I was trying to make baked apples with a crusty part on top, but on 2/4 of the apple pieces the crusty part slid off in the oven. Damn it. Flavor is great, just a pain to eat since it's such a mess. I saw a guy make this same thing on a cooking show once, except with pears instead of apples, and it worked perfectly. Not like they'd show it on TV if it didn't but still. At least my breakfast version of fish and chips that I created last weekend worked out very well and is now approved for production. Much better than the crap that's available on campus, and much cheaper too.

There's something about this season that always reminds me of how lonely I am too, when I'm able to ignore it the rest of the year. Damn again.
