I don't even...
So as most of you know, this past Friday was my twenty-fourth birthday. It was really exciting and also deeply saddening... I'd be lying if I said that what also happened that day didn't damped my mood some but... well... The next day was my first experience to Opera! It was very interesting - and no I don't say that because I didn't enjoy it, it was just something unexpected! I was surprised there were subtitles! I was surprised the acting was comparable to a real theatrical play! I was surprised how high up I was but still able to hear the music and singing! It was a lovely experience and I'm very fortunate to have had it. ♥
In the meantime, the reason I'm actually updating - because I really don't like bragging or anything but! - is because I signed up for a music lesson. Yes. A MUSIC LESSON. I'm very surprised myself. I haven't been musical in any way, shape, or form since graduating high school. That was like... SIX years ago. Anyway, the opera made me realize there are many other things in life I have yet to experience so I've decided to take advantage of other interesting things around me.
I signed up for my first lesson this Thursday. I'm going to be trying the harp for the first time! I'm really excited. It's not something I think I'd ever have gotten the chance to try otherwise... I really hope it goes well.. the guys behind the counter were super friendly and the schedule is really flexible. Hmmmm I'll be sure to let you know how it goes!
