I want some Penfolds Grange 1985

Apr 09, 2006 22:52

My mate James Gralton is hanging at my pad in Prahran. James has sailed across the pacific from Panama to New Zealand among other things in the last 10 months. He stopped over in Melbourne before returning to Perth.

I survived working 7 days straight. Saw my girlfriend. Showed James the Aldi store. Aldi is a German store that sells cut price groceries (think of a shop full of only Home Brand products).

I wrote an email to my parents telling them what I want for my 21st birthday in August - A bottle of
Penfolds Grange 1985. It's a bargain at $357 but they are not convinced. They should have bought some 21 years ago.

I went shopping in Bridge Road Richmond with my girlfriend Katrina. I now understand how layering works. I have black long sleeve t-shirts (very Melbourne) and an awesome 'STRICTLY FOR MY NINJAS' t-shirt.

I made dinner and fed Katrina at my pad. Later I made dinners for work and packed them in my IKEA containers.

I have been drinking Lamb's Navy Rum in juice and my 'punch on the go' (made from Aldi's version of Midori $10 and orange fruit juice drink mixed in my IKEA jug).

I expect to get my first Credit Card this week. My inflatable mattress I am currently sleeping on deflates every night so I will buy a bed on credit this week. I need to sleep well - I'm a bloody nurse.

Cheers.

Goal for this week:

Inspired by this from David Adam I have decided on a goal for this week. I will find a way of using "YOUR HEAD ASPLODE" in my work context. Since I work on a ward looking after people post brain surgery or head trauma it shouldn't be too hard.
