I made a mistake on Friday. I didn't confirm with Pack & Send about collecting my goods to be moved to Melbourne so they didn't send the van out to collect my stuff.
Not such a big problem. My bicycle is now in a box and a can resort my books to cull a few more boxes. Best of all I will have my computer until 3 January and I leave on the 4th. My stuff will arrive in Melbourne on the 10th now.
Last night I went with my parents to
St Georges Cathedral ("A house of prayer for all people - exploring the spiritual, encouraging seekers, challenging old understandings") for "A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols." Perth is fortunate to have one of the best church choirs in Australia and I suspect they could give King's College Cambridge a run for their money also. The music was beautiful.
Tonight is Christmas Eve and we are having my aunt and cousin over for Christmas dinner of salmon freshly smoked in our fish smoker served with sparkling Shiraz then followed by roast
Mt Barker free range chickens and vegetables using
Stephanie Alexander's recipe. Finally we will have
Ian Parmenters (the TV chef with pseudo-syncope)
Lighter Australian Christmas Pudding (doesn't have suet but does have nice things like the Australian native nut macadamia).
