Another note...
One of the downsides to the upcoming move is that SCA-wise Calontir is the only kingdom left that doesn't support some form of fencing... so if I am going to fight, it will have to involve armored combat. In light of this (and also to get unfinished projects out of the garage), I finally finished the two vertiginous shields of doom. I think I started painting these two years ago and then lost interest. After last weekend, however, they are are now painted and strapped and ready to go (though I must add some padding to the curve of the heater). They have my vairy-en-point device on them with the ermine spots done in an alternate form that looks a lot like the romulan badge (I decided to use this form for fighting purposes as it looks more agressive... more standard ermine spots will be used elsewhere). I can hide behing the heater really well and looking at them gives faeflitt vertigo, which was kinda the point.
