Although I had a lot of fun in Florida. I can't think of anything else I can really expand on from my last post. Perhaps if people reading this could post some questions to get my mind going that would be great.
I have decided to get a paid flickr account. I think it is a really good idea as opposed to using www.nmt.edu to host my photos for the web. I would rather people use bandwidth that I pay for than sucking it from the school for something as boring as photos. I am open to good arguements though as to what I should do.
This past weekend I spent with Alisha. On Friday we ended up going out and doing some shopping at Wal-mart. I found me a pair of running shoes and two pair of running shorts. And to top that up I picked up Revenge of the Nerds: The Atomic Wedgie Collection. It has all 4 'Nerds movies in it. That night Alisha and I ended up watching my new Gremlins DVD that I got before we went on our trip.
On saturday her and I went to her parents house for the day. On the way through the Miamisburg area we stopping in the Dayton Mall to do some bed shopping. My parents got a new mattress for their bed and are giving me their old one. Don't worry, it is low mileage. However, this mattress is a queen size and the bed I have is a double. Well we found a nice Oak bed for $600 but I decided to hold and and look some more.
After that we meet her mother at the movie theater. We watched the new Turtles movie. It was ok. I was glad to see that they picked up where the live action ones left off. The fighting scenes where really fast paced and with the dark night shots, it was hard to see the action. However, mad props goto the art department on that movie. The textures looked incredible.
For the last trick of the night though we went back to her father's house and while I was taking a break and changing oil in my car, her horse was acting up. So she called her mother, her neighbor and the vet and they was all out looking at her. The horse is fine, just a mild belly ache from ingesting excess water (excess being all the rain on the grass).
Sunday we went to the Dayton auto show. A co-worker of mine gave me some tickets that he got from a car dealership. It was basically the big 3 automakers and Toyota, BMW, and Honda with their 2007 model year cars out showing them off. We looked and sat in several cars including the Monte Carlo SS (not as good as mine except for the motor), Corvette (which fit me like a glove), couple of trucks and jeeps, and a Super Bee Charger (which I must say was a very nice car). Alisha got up in one of the Dodge Ram 2500 trucks. I don't think that she could even see over the hood in it. I liked the feel of the Jeep Wranglers. The best of the show was the new Challenger which is coming out in 331 days. That was one sweet car and I so want one very very bad. The sad thing was that it was on a rotating pedestal so I couldn't get up close and sit in it. Buy every guy in the place would just stare at it for about 10 minutes dreaming of it.
Yesterday I went with my parents to a local furniture store looking for beds. It was the same place where we got my brother and I's desk and some of my parents stuff. Well they had a oak bed like the one Alisha and I wanted to get, but better, for $300 bucks. And I could take it home that day. I'm waiting until Alisha can come over this weekend to check it out before I get it though. I'm all for paying less on this.
As of yesterday, my car loan is 10 grand less than what it started at. I still have 9 grand to go. I'm stoked.
Today after work I went out to put the insurance slips in the cars. While was I was doing the one for the Chevelle I fired it up to let it run. It almost started right up and sounded good, so I decided to take it for a drive and get me a milk shake. It felt good driving a car with power under the hood :).
Perhaps the next couple of days I will pick a day on my Florida trip and fill in more details about it. If I don't do it, get ahold of me and chew my lazy ass out.
