monday afternoon i had an appointment to get my booster moderna vaccine shot. got to the pharmacy and they put me in the little privacy room and there was a basket with the syringe in it and some paperwork. i was told someone would be in shortly to administer the shot. i waited ... patiently. twenty minutes later the pharmacist opened the door to show someone else in. she seemed surprised to see me in there. they had forgotten me. she apologized for the mixup and gave me my injection. felt like she used a three-penny nail instead of the tiny needle that i saw her put in.
tuesday i felt kind of blah and my arm was *SORE*. i napped on and off for most of the day.
yesterday (wednesday) i called my insurance company's nurse line to talk to someone about how i was feeling and the continuing pain in my arm. they did their usual panel of questions and finally suggested calling my primary care physician and talk to him about it. called his office and told them what was going on. thirty minutes later the doctor called me back and i went through the whole thing with him. he said what i was experiencing wasn't unheard of and that i should just follow my body's needs. rest, drink plenty of liquids, take aspirin (not tylenol) and if i wasn't better today (thursday) to call his office back and that he would see me.
today, i've got more energy and my arm isn't quite as sore. so i didn't call his office back. they called this afternoon just to check on me. thumbs up to my doctor's office.
