What a week so far!

What a week!

Gloriously cool crisp nights for hot tubbing, gazing at the razor-sharp moon in the sky;
relaxing cold nights spent under two down comforters, as warm and as light as if snuggled in a snowbank;
wondrously fascinating morning commutes through valleys of thick, impenetrable fogs;
amazing moments of breaking out into blue skies and brilliant yellow, summery sunshine;
enlivening commutes home, under the hot summer sun blasting music with the windows rolled as far down as they go;
warm, lazy evenings spent reading at home and long hours of conversation with friends from around the country;
...and it's not over yet!

My job is quite interesting, and I must say, almost insanely boring at times. Even though my commutes are some of the best part of my day, with working up here in Randolph, the job is not really all that bad. My first pay check should be this Friday, and I'm looking forward to wiping out my credit card bill from the last few months, including everything from gas to get to OBX to my plane ticket to Colorado. I'll be so happy with that debt gone.

I'm trying to figure out stuff to do on my days off now (!), and think I might have to go shopping this weekend for more "work" clothes for my wardrobe. Being an Administrator (Level II) apparently means I need to dress the part, as well as getting the benefits. *shrug*

Amongst other news, the sewage pipe from my house to the town line apparently was attacked by tree roots, and finally backed up yesterday (as I was doing laundry). I have been informed that while Roto-router fixed the pipe enough to work today (yay shower!), that they will be replacing the pipe tomorrow for a measly $5K. Ouch. Apparently the pipe was also crushed, and otherwise quite old. I'm not sure if this is the original sewer pipe, but I would expect so. (For those of you who don't have any background, my house was built in 1904.)

My mother is therefore not really thrilled as she must now pay this, in addition to the final repair work on the house (carpentry), as well as dealing with funding my sister's wedding (and the wedding gift). Ouch!

*sigh* I'm still at work today, due to being annoyed by a computer issue which I want fixed before heading home today. I might have a bit of traffic if I wait much longer, but I cross my fingers and hope. What's the worst case traffic scenario? Maybe slowing me down by five-ten minutes on my hour commute. Take that you New Jerseyians!

Oh well, I should go and check in on my computerized patient one last time. I hope my father has read many books this month, since he's not busy working, as I am now in desperate need of good readings...

Ciao!
