Saint Maries: part 2

Jul 28, 2005 23:24

St. Maries does have more things to do than Ridgecrest but thats because of 2 things the St. Maries river and the St. Joe river. Well the fact that its all forested helps too. (Things to do over Ridgecrest: boating, fishing and hunting). Up here there are deer everywhere since it isn't hunting season, there's this one trio called the twins (a doe and two fawn's) that comes by my aunts house early in the morning. They're funny to watch, the mother watches protectively and the fawns run around like dogs playing.
So on to what I've done recently... I was almost unshakable on the tube when we went boating but the constant circle's were getting to me so I tried to fly off miscalculated and just kind of slipped into the water anti-climatic like. Then I championed somewhere else...(dramatic pause)...(longer still) I got up on a wake board and rode it for like thirty seconds, Yay me! The rest of the time though I'm just chillin with my cousins doing something or other, which is sad because the ages are like 26, 22, 18, 14, 12; about six of them are between ten and fourteen and of the older ones: one got married one works and the other is anywhere else if possible (like I would be if I had a car and knew where to go) But I still had fun playing around with them all, at one point a few of us got into a mud fight (that was fun). Today though I went fishing on a pontoon boat down the St. Joe from seven till five and caught two fish, a half dozen rocks, three logs, a stick and someone's old tackle. But I'm heading home tommorow, well to Reno then home the next day my time up here is over and I get to return to the heat and dry and finishing my car.
Which brings us to my next subject (it had to sneak in) cars! It makes me shudder, on this trip there were a half dozen minivans parked at my aunts house! and I was driveing one of them. Blah, Ill be so glad just to drive my wagon again. Another thing, my family has odd luck with cars: my sister convinced my dad to get her a car (this is amazing because he payed for it) and then her boyfriend helped fer get her next three cars leaving her with an '05 Elantra, I got two cars free from a neighbor then another for only $75 (almost done) and now my brother just got a 1990 Nissan Sentra. The story goes that its my aunt Rose's old car that blew the motor and has been sitting a year (still good paint and interior) and they were trying to get rid of it, he asked and they said he could have it if he hauled it away. Now the trick is getting it to Ridgecrest, from northern Idaho. Now even more car stuff, for a small town it has interesting cars like a silver 2006 Eclipse (thats right the new one) in the middle of 2005 (time travel) and a bright green turbo charged Honda Civic (thought it was just a dork with bright paint until I heard the blow off valve). If only I wasn't driving an overloaded minivan towing an overloaded trailer way to damn far tomorow.
Okay Ive wrote on too long so I'll sleep now bye bye.
