Thats ok that you took a long time. I know you're stressed and busy IRL ;) I'm fairly sure you can defer just on "financial hardship", it should be open to more than just unemployment. From what I understand you can defer up to 1 year of payments.

Customer service jobs aren't that bad. I know you hear Carolyn and me bitch about them all the time, LOL. The real key to finding a good customer service job is knowing what kind of people will be calling. You want to find either:
1) Happy people - happy happy, low stress job. Something like airline reservations or sales of any kind.
2) Miserable people where you don't have to take shit from them. Primarily a collections agency job.

Fields to avoid:
Insurance or Banking, people only call when they are mad AND you have to be nice to them :( that = BIG stress.

I honestly don't know much about consolidations :( I wish I could help you out there, but its not a subject I really know much on. If I find anything I'll let you know.

I'm glad to hear that the hardware store is coming thru for you. I hear they're good people. My advice is always free to friends, even when its unwanted! Just ask Ross how much I bitch at him about his finances, LOL.
