Rochester aint happy to see us
Finally made it to rochester. Finally my stuff is in one place (the same one im at, amazingly) and finally ive let go of OLD FORGE and the Hardware store....(well lets not define "let go" k?)...
anyway, our townhome is quite beautiful. Im pretty happy with it. its VERY large, plenty of room for three or even four people to live. the basement is huge and finished, and best of all we unexpectedly got a washer and dryer included! yay for that cuz i was in no hurry to lug heavy ass laundry baskets all the way across the complex to do laundry especially in the winter.
parking so far hasnt been an issue. they dont even keep track of who's license plate is who's...so I think we're safe on that. Most of our neighbors appear to be of our age range so thats kinda nice too. Interestingly enough, my ex boyfriend will be living right next door to us come august, so at least we'll know the neighbors lol.
I was really stressed out about getting hooked up to internet/phone and cable cuz we went for the TimeWarner all for one dealie and EVERYONE told us that itd take 2-3 weeks for them to get to us. Lacey's boy told us that we should go right to the office and tell them that we talked to them on the phone and they told us to come down and get the stuff and install it ourselves. i wasnt exactly planning on doing that, but when i called time warner, thats exactly what they told us to do. so the only waiting we have to do is for the phone (its digital phone. idk how that works exactly but whatev) and we only have to wait a week, so that was really exciting. we were all really worried about not having a phone to put down on resumes and applications. kinda hard to get a job if they cant call and tell you youve gotten it.
still kinda stressed about the whole job thing. looking forward to the sunday paper for a good gaggle of job possibilities. ive been offered a part time job in a place that sells bird and garden stuff...id be interested in it but i really feel i should get a full time if possible and work around THOSE hours instead of the other way around. but we'll see what happens.
Tomorrow will be fun: going to walmart to get a few things...finishing up the unpacking and then Danielle and Stick will be coming out to visit. if its nice enough i REALLY want to take them to the beach. Also, Ross will be blessing me with his presence for a larger portion of the weekend so im looking forward to that as well. I was really worried that once i got out here no one would come to see me but it looks to be off to a good start. i know things wont keep up at this pace but im happy to get what i can.
Also, its been fantabulous getting to live with my chang again. We have a lot of fun laughing about the stupidest shit together. We also got to play mario kart and thats always a time to be had. i think itll be a great summer :) so much id like to do this summer....ill have to make that subject a separate entry though. its time for bed for now...
