I've been having such an amazing week.
It's February, and trust me, February has always been my favourite month of the year, at least thus far. The one extra day because of this leap year put the cherry on top of my cheesecake.
I was thinking and I need to get a hold of what makes me so happy, and just have it as my own. Happy, major chord melodies usually make me happy, but when I'm depressed they are just intolerable, so it's not happy music. Happy music just maintains happiness.
To be honest, I know what makes me happy.
But for now, the secret is my own.
I bought J.D. Salinger's "The Catcher in the Rye" today. I'm on chapter three, and thus far it's okay. Some of the things Holden says as he describes his past really irritate me. Like his figures of speech. I do think, though, that since this is a coming-of-age story, it's a good reason to use such irritating, at-times bad grammar. There has got to be some sort of grammar change to add to the "coming-of-age".
Anyways, I'm off to work, inside-novels written with a (secretly) great person as it's protagonist, and double-chins.
