A week of joy

I am having a wonderful week of rest from work in Illinois, and thanks to the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago I will be able to go to Iceland this year for the EVE Fanfest and the Icelandic Airwaves Music Festival. Sunday night I spent with the boys playing poker after a late drive home. Ended up with a four of a kind and a straight flush on a flop. Good night for cards. Monday I spent walking and talking along the river with Scathach. Tuesday Asthran and I went out to see Mirrormask and then enjoyed the rest of the evening talking and lounging. Mirrormask is worth the trip down to the Lagoon, I recommend all you locals go. Wendsday night Vivianne, Joy and I went out to see Cirque du Soleil performance of Corteo. As always Cirque is wonderful, I wish I could have also gone with Scathach but schedules for both of us and Cirque did not match. Asthran met the three of us at the doors and as always made the night all the better with some explanations and commentary during the breaks. Right now I am over at Matt's working on web text and getting a key for the office. Next week will be my first real work week with Quorum Sec.
Later in the evening I will be on a plane to the Fanfest so now it is off to pack. I hope to have picts up as I go.
