So last night I picked up my parents from their month-long stay in Europe, and while I am EXTREMELY glad to have in-house therapy and free dinners again, it is necessitating some adjustment -- for everyone.
I spent the last month alone in the house with my cat, and the cat spent a lot of time sitting on me or on the back of the couch behind me or whatever. (I have a lot of pictures of my cat sitting on me. I was bored.) I slept out on the living room couch for most of the last couple weeks so he would have someone to cuddle with.
This morning he has bulled his way into my bedroom, a place he's normally not allowed, in spite of being kicked out twice, so he can curl up on my blankets again the way he has been for the past month.
I don't care what dog people say about cats being aloof or affectionate only when they can get something out of it. This is love.
