Actual exchange with my parents last night, as we pulled into a parking space in Ashland, OR:

Mom: Oh, and there are the homeless people.

Dad: Maybe that's why this space is open.

Me: . . . I think they're just hipsters.

I'm looking forward to exploring today! We got in late last night after a loooong day of driving, so I haven't seen much of it yet. We did see people in the plaza doing fire juggling, though -- and the aforementioned people-in-knit-caps-with-backpacks-and-dogs who might be homeless people and might be hipsters.

Stall bazaars are great places. You see all kinds of great stuff. And there's a little tiny secondhand store somewhere, hang on. I'll look it up. It's like, underneath a building. They have amazing shit.

The Gypsy Rose!

They have cool stuff.

And right behind their store is a little plaza thing where stall bazaars set up.

The area around the theatres for Oregon Shakes is amazing, basically. I really hope you get to check it out and walk around.
