sooo, why a casting of the mediator series? good question. i chose those books because they are one of my favourite series, and i love meg. besides, i've had this idea for a long time and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to put it into action, given picspammy's challenge. some characters like the rlhs angels, michael meducci, diego, maria and a few others aren't here because i was really lazy to continue this picspam. either way, enjoy! and if you don't like my casting choices, please, don't start complaining, just exit the page, ok? i tried to take everything i could into consideration when doing this.
emily browning as susannah simon
why? suze is supposed to look like your average black-hair brown-eyes girl.
obviously, emily wouldn't oppose to dying her hair, and i think she would be able
not only to portray the fierce side of suze, but also the frail, delicate one she rarely shows.
besides, emily browning can play a pickle and still rock it.
henry cavill as jesse de silva
why? whereas i'm well aware henry isn't latino, he looks a lot like how i
picture jesse in my head. besides, that first picture sold him for me. it's basically
the exact shirt suze describes him as always wearing. plus, henry and emily? hot.
melanie thierry as ceecee
why? even though she's not albino per say and probably too old for the part,
are you really going to say she doesn't look exotic albeit someone who could
pass as ugly if she had white blonde hair and braces? also, she was as close
as i was able to get from the mental picture i had of ceecee.
kyle gallner as adam
why? at first i had chosen steven r. mcqueen for the part of adam, but really,
he wasn't what i was looking for. and then it hit me "kyle gallner". he's just perfect.
absolutely exactly what i imagine adam would look like, preferably with long hair.
and also because kyle has to chill off the creepy-weirdo characters.
vitor garber as father dominic
why? suze says more than once in the books that father d is supposed to
look like an elderly man that was probably really hot when young. even though
victor lacks the blue eyes, he was as close as i got to that description without
going for cliché options like george clooney or the likes of it.
dianna agron as kelly prescott
why? she's blonde, she's fierce and she would probably give more depth
to kelly than it is shown in the books. besides, do i need an excuse to add
dianna in anything?
candice accola as debbie mancuso
why? debbie isn't exactly my favourite character, but i wanted to not
make her completely hateful either. i think candice could do that very well,
seeing her portrail of caroline in vampire diaries. besides, i wasn't going
to let my bb garrett hook up with just about anyone, right?
alex pettyfer as bryce martinson
why? as i was reading bryce's description for the first time, the first person
that came to mind was alex, and there he stayed. can you imagine a love triangle
between him, emily and amber heard? my ovaries would explode.
zac efron as tad beaumont
why? it wouldn't be a particularly challenging role for zefron, but still, it's not
much like his usual roles either. besides, i would like to see him handling a
crazy dad, it would be different, to say the least.
jeffrey dean morgan as peter simon
and amy adams as cynthia ackerman
why? cynthia obviously needed to be a red head and i was thorn between amy
and isla fischer. in the end i chose amy because i honestly like her better. as for jdm,
i always kind of pictured suze's dad as the scruffy type, possibly because of the several
mentions of him having died in sweatpants, and who's scruffier than jdm?
chris hemsworth as jake ackerman
why? again, possibly too old, but he looks like he could be paul walker's son
and i can totally see him looking like he's about to doze off. also, i can see why
his half-sister wouldn't find him attractive even when all the other girls do.
garrett hedlund as brad ackerman
why? garrett kind of looks like chris, and he could totally pull off a videogame addicted,
gym-rat teenager. again, i also can see why suze wouldn't find him attractive even if
debbie found him attractive enough to put her tongue into his mouth, rofl.
aaron wolff as david (doc) ackerman,
kate beckinsale as helen ackerman
and paul walker as andy ackerman
why? can't you just see aaron with his 12-going-on-40 attitude? because i surely can.
as for kate and paul, i wanted helen and andy to not look old but still be able to pass for disciplining
parents and i things both of them are able to do that. i also tried to mantain the parents and children
as much alike as possible, so there.
karen gillan as gina,
amber heard as heather chambers
and matt lanter as paul slater
why? i haven't seen karen on anything, but i'm pretty sure that with a tan and a nose ring, she would
look exactly like my mental picture of gina. as for amber, she screams crazy bitch heather to me,
especially when she has her hair straightened (alas, i was to lazy to find a picture of her with straight hair).
finally, matt for paul. he has the physical attributes and anyone who has seen him in 90210 knows
he can play the bad boy like no one, with or without a softer side.
