Character: Tavros Nitram
Fandom: Homestuck
Personality: Tavros is the biggest loser.
Okay, yeah, one sentence about Tavros isn’t going to cut it in this app. But in the eyes of others of his species, Tavros would be considered a pretty big loser. He lives on the planet of Alternia, which is populated by a race called trolls: humanoid creatures with grey skin, yellow eyes, fangs, horns, and unsettling tendencies to be violent towards one another. In a world where murder and backstabbing is considered perfectly normal, Tavros is something of an oddity, namely because he doesn’t seem to be remotely capable of hating anyone. It doesn’t help that on the hemospectrum-the class system on Alternia that is ranked by the colour of one’s blood-Tavros ranks quite low, having orange blood and thus looked down upon by the more higher-blooded trolls. As such he is very easily bullied, especially by Vriska Serket, who does it partly to express her romantic feelings towards him. Unfortunately, he is too terrified of her to reciprocate these feelings.
Tavros is, to put it mildly, awkward. He’s timid, sensitive, cowardly, and has rather stunted social skills, which is shown in the way he types by his constant use of commas and stuttering “uhh”s. He’s somewhat childish for his age (six solar sweeps, which is equivalent to thirteen Earth years) and loves to daydream. He is very interested in stories of fairies and other fantastic creatures (even though he knows they’re not real, or at least keeps reminding himself that they’re not), and his hero is the fictional character Peter Pupa Pan, who he often fantasizes will come into his window one night and take him away to an island of adventure. He even has an imaginary friend of sorts, “Rufio”, who is Tavros’ self-esteem given a personality in an attempt to improve it.
Tavros also loves animals, and tends to relate more to them than to other trolls (probably because they’re less likely to abuse him physically, verbally or mentally). This ties into his ability of communion, which allows him to control any creature on Alternia (or even on other planets, like Becquerel, a highly powerful reality-warping dog who is Earth's First Guardian), though he never abuses this ability if he can help it, such as when he refuses to force a group of imps to carry him up a flight of stairs at Vriska’s insistence. His lusus (an animal that serves as a parent and guardian to a young troll), a small bull with wings named Tinkerbull, is very precious to him, even though Tavros accidentally kills Tinkerbull when he runs him over with his wheelchair.
Even though Tavros is rather awkward and kind of a wuss, he really does want to become more confident, even though he tends to go about it the wrong way more often than not. He tries to intimidate Dave Strider through his terrible rapping, but Dave simply counter-trolls him to the point that Tavros blocks him. When he tries to act more confident to Jade, he comes across as being kind of a jerk under the misguided impression that this is what being confident is about, which Jade points out to him. When he learns that Vriska was responsible for the creation of Bec Noir, one of Homestuck’s primary antagonists, he goes to confront her even though he is afraid of her and she has caused him nothing but pain. Tavros does want to be braver; he just has a long way to go.
History:
Tavros at the MSPA WikiTimeline:Tavros will be taken from when he is going to confront Vriska about creating Bec Noir, and attempts to stop her. Fortunately this will be before she kills him, and also before he falls down a flight of stairs. We warned him about the stairs.
Abilities: Since Tavros is low on the hemospectrum, this means that he has access to psychic powers. In his case, he has the power of communion, which allows him to communicate with and control various creatures, including dangerous ones like imps or highly powerful ones like Becquerel. Due to the sake of not wanting to godmod, I’ll say that in this setting he won’t have any control over the various faeries here, though he most likely will be able to control other character's animal companions (I'll put up a permissions post for that).
Tavros is also skilled with a jousting lance, though he’s not much of a fighter compared to the other trolls. He also now has the wondrous ability to walk. Beforehand he was paraplegic, having been bound to a wheelchair after Vriska forced him to jump off a cliff, but has since been fitted with a pair of robotic legs by Equius-after Kanaya chainsawed off his real legs while he was asleep.
He also has the ability to rap, but he's terrible at it. Seriously, he's one of the worst rappers in the history of paradox space. Don't ask him to do it.

Tavros and his robo-legs! Sample writing: Well. This place was certainly new.
The last thing Tavros remembered was heading towards where Vriska was, lance in hand, although said hand was kind of slippery since he had been sweating so much. Because he was scared. Like he always was.
Why did he have to be so scared all the time? Why did he let other trolls like Vriska push him around? Probably because he was scared of them. Everything that had gone wrong in Tavros' life would always link back to him being scared.
But Tavros now had a new reason to be scared. He was in a strange place with more trees than he had ever seen in his life, and he had a feeling that this wasn't Alternia. Where was this, anyway? Earth, perhaps? Maybe if Jade was here, she would know. He supposed that he would have to go look for her.
Still clutching his lance and not yet aware of the crown on his head, Tavros made his way on his metal legs through the woods.
Sample journal entry: [The feed clicks on to show Tavros peering nervously at the camera as usual. He clears his throat before he speaks.]
Uhh, hi. This is Tavros, in case you don't know. Or, uhh, if you do know, I guess you can disregard that part. Anyway.
I was, uhh, wondering...are these really fairies? Because I have read a lot of things about fairies where I'm from, and these ones are not very nice at all. If it is okay with any of you, I would like to ask, maybe, what you know about fairies, and maybe we can learn more...? Um. Or something like that. Sorry.
