Does this sound sappy enough?

Dear Bishop Jenky,

I, Jessica, think I am prepared for Confirmation. My religion instructor Mr. Hardiek taught each of us thoroughly in our beliefs and actions. His teachings can seem a bit rough at times or even what seems so hard it cannot be done, but after I got through the testing, the note-taking, everything, I realize why he was pushing us so hard.
I now know the order for the Confirmation mass. It begins with the opening rites. Next, we continue with the Liturgy of the Word. The Liturgy of the Word is important because it is God’s word. The names of the candidates are called out, and we are presented to you. Your traditional homily comes after that. Subsequently, we renew our Baptismal vows, made by our godparents, considering we were most likely to young at the time of our Baptism. By doing so, we proclaim the beliefs of our faith. You then perform the Laying on of Hands. It is an ancient gesture symbolizing the Holy Spirit coming upon us. Afterward the Rites of Confirmation are bestowed upon us. Following the Rites of Confirmation are the Prayers of the Faithful, and then the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Your blessing comes directly after.
I performed acts of service during the last three years. Service may seem like work and chores, but it doesn’t have to be. Pet Therapy was quite fun, and I got to enjoy an afternoon with small animals and the elderly. Several elderly people don’t have anyone else left in their family, and seeing a young face and a small puppy may bring happy memories back to mind. Helping set up and fill the Market Day orders is fun. I always wanted the large orders to fill, even though they were the hardest. They presented more of a challenge, and something to do. During mass the younger children sometimes aren’t able to sit still or be quiet, considering they don’t understand. Watching over them and playing with them assist the parents attending mass. The parents don’t have to keep the child in line while trying to participate.
Prayer helped me by subtly showing me the way I should go. I believe it helped me choose a good candidate for my sponsor. My friend’s grandmother is always at mass everyday and takes religion seriously. I feel strongly that she will guide me through this, and through the rest of my religious calling.
I personally think I am ready for this large step, and I hope you agree with me on that matter.

Sincerely,
Jessica
