Meme, fandom thoughts

I'm bored with no forums. So, I stole this from tundrachik.

  1. What is your main cell phone ring-tone?
It's the default one that came with the phone. I haven't played around with custom rings for different people yet, and I happen to like the default one. I wish I could get true custom rings, like songs and stuff. It would be cool, but I have to pay every time I go to the thing, and I don't actually pay for my cell phone so until I do...

  2. What is your default LJ icon?
    Billy Joel, "Shades of Grey"

  3. What station is your car radio permanently tuned to?
Usually 106.7, LiteFM. But I have a bunch of other stations that I switch to in the car when I don't like a song or there's a commercial.

  4. What is your computer desktop image?
The monthly calendar from Milo Mania at work, and the "vortex" blue thingy from XP at home.

  5. Is there something you wear every single day?
Clothes. A bra. Which is a type of clothing, so yeah -- clothes.

  6. I wish I had a tracking device on...
    Um, everything? I lose everything

  7. What page does your internet browser open with?
Work: The office portal. Home: Personalized Google page

  8. This item never leaves my purse...
    Chapstick. Wallet. Advil.

  9. What TV show do you never miss?
Gilmore Girls is really the only one that I have to watch, when it's on or as soon as I can. I tape a few others during the week when they're new, but I'm not heartbroken if I miss them.

  10. What phrase do you hear yourself repeating too often?
"Dude!" but more in written conversations, or to myself. Also, I tend to pick up phrases that I hear others say. Like "Rock on!" (TM JP from work) and "We're all good." (TM DK, whom charmed_angel06 knows)

So, fandom. It seems I compare EVERYTHING to GG. I was watching something recently, which now remember what it was, but didn't a little while ago, where there was this guy -- King of the group, son of famous rich guy. Sound familiar? Not unlike Logan, right? And he has a strained relationship with his father. Again, Logan! The first few episodes of this show that I watched, I thought this guy was a huge jerk, and I couldn't see all the love for him -- I could not understand why people 'shipped him and the main character. At the end of this episode, after a major power struggle between father and son, you see the son in a closet (which, yes, is as big as some bedrooms) picking out a belt. And I'm watching going "...ohhkay...what is the point of this?" Then he takes the belt into his father, starts to lower his pants and the door closes.

It made my heart hurt for him. Here was this 16/17 year old kid, just trying to go about his business, carve out a name for himself that's -- yes, using his father's popularity to draw on -- but not have to deal with his father and all his father's groupies etc.

And, yes, while I originally couldn't see the attraction -- he grew on me. "He's kinda cute," I can be heard saying. So, with that or without that -- just for the characters themselves, *Hugs Logan -- both of them*
