I had a hard time with Music Monday this week. Mostly because I'm still listening to the exact same playlist I was last week at this time, and I wanted to offer some variety on these. I could easily do Dion again (more on that later), but I just did a whole post on him last week. Ditto Tyler and Jason, did them recently.
So I'm going to go in a little different direction. Here are some songs that are on my "workout" playlist that really get me up and going.
"Do You Love Me" by The Contours

Most of you might know this song from Dirty Dancing. I knew the song for years and years, but then it got a strong TV association for me: Meg Pryor. It was also played ironically in "The End," episode 5x04 of "Supernatural." But it's a great "get up and go" song!

This one's great for running.

"Land Down Under" by Men at Work

I chose this version of the video specifically since this is what comes to mind every time I listen to this song.
"You Shook Me All Night Long" by AC/DC

I like this one while using the free weights.
What better way to start than with "Start Me Up" by the Rolling Stones!

Another good cardio song.
And, of course, what workout playlist would be complete without:
"Baby Workout" by Jackie Wilson!

Those are just a few for sampling. I have a long playlist for working out! If my mp3 player dies on me in the middle of the workout, I lose momentum and have to stop and go home.
