I meant to have this post up last week, but due to other circumstances, it didn't. Anyway, better late than never.
So last Sunday, January 16, I got discount tickets from Goldstar to
Love, Loss, and What I Wore ($23 through Goldstar from an original price of $79.) I got LongtimeFriend to come with me (she lives up in CT now; we met in the city). The cast when we saw it was Anita Gilette (Broadway veteran), Judy Gold (a comedienne), Pauletta Washington (whose big claim to fame is that she's married to Denzel), Nikki Blonsky (!!), and Alexis Bledel (!!!).
It was a very intimate setting; the theatre was small. We were in the fifth row and had excellent seats. The show was very cute, a lot of fun, and made for women! It's more than a rom-com chick flick; guys just wouldn't get it. But all women should try to see it because it's amazing.
Nikki and Alexis were the "younger" cast members, and poor soft-spoken Alexis was seated in between Nikki and Judy, two women who have big voices and big gestures--just very boisterous and enthusiastic.
We stage-doored and the women were all very nice and very gracious. Nikki is so sweet and when my camera started throwing a fit, she was all comforting and "It's okay; there's no rush." Alexis signed my GG S3 booklet, and posed for a picture with me, but when I checked it on the way home, it wasn't on the camera. :( I had the other women (minus Pauletta, who didn't care about stopping for autographs, but she was my least favorite of the four anyway) sign the Playbill--I would've had Alexis sign it, too, but I wanted her to sign the GG booklet because I already have Milo on there. Plus, Jared's set to come to the SPN NJ Con, so I'm getting him to sign it then (he and Jensen will also be at Nashville con, but I'm having them sign one of the SPN companions.)
So come July, my GG season 3 companion will be signed by Jess, Rory, and Dean!
I have to pic of me and Nikki up, but that will come shortly.
