1. Overacheivers
Ah, my overacheiver girls. I always liked watching fictional overacheivers. They amuse me. I used to have a personal website and I did a few different layouts. One was overacheivers, featuring Rory, Carol, Topanga, and Hermione. The last didn't make it into this icon; I don't remember why I excluded her. And there's many more where these came from. "I can't get an A-! I'll just die!" Valedictorian, top of the class, most-likely-to... You know how it goes. The icon itself is my own creation. It's pretty simple; just their faces with the word "overacheivers." I like to use it when I talk about school or doing well. Or fictional characters overacheiving.
2. JJ-Meg Brother-Sister Bond
JJ and Meg. From one of my favorite shows, and it's one of my favorite relationships. JJ always looks out for his sister, and Meg looks up to him, but they share a special bond. "Sorry about Dad." "Me too." She taught him how to dance, and before she left on her first date, he gave her a speech about not taking any garbage from any guy. And you all know how much I love sibling relationships.
3. Adrian-Hayden Giggle
I picked up this icon early in the Heroes run. Long before Nathan was revealed to be Claire's father. I love behind-the-scenes shots of actors enjoying each other's company, and the Heroes cast is off the charts in their love for each other. This icon is a shot of Adrian and Hayden being adorable together. Plus, it's good for when something's amusing and making me giggle.
4. M*A*S*H Carry
Oh, Hawkeye. M*A*S*H was one of my favorite shows in high school - I got into it when we did the play freshman year. I started watching it in syndication, and got hooked. About a year ago, Amazon had the entire series on a Gold Box deal for a crazy good price, and I bought it. This is one of Hakweye's more famous rants/speeches, and I had to make it into an icon. It's just fun!
5. Little Shop Doctah
I went through a Little Shop phase for a while. I hadn't seen the movie in ages, and then one of my friends was in a local production of it. I rewatched the movie and loved it. This is good to use in a random moment or when I'm apologizing (which I probably don't do as often as I should). Plus, I just like Audrey.
And outforawalk also played.
That "cliiiiiiiiick" was like Mark and Roger's "speeeeeaaaaaak" in case you didn't know.
1. Adrian and Milo
Remember what I said about the behind-the-scenes actors loving each other? Well, Adrian and Milo are crazy in their love for each other. So ridiculous, and I love it so much. It's one of those "they need no embellishment" deals that I hear the Supernatural boys are also good at showing. This is from some photo shoot. They're hugging and Adrian's got this look on his face like "Oooh, this is mine." SO FREAKING ADORABLE.
2. Bobby and Sandy: Dream Lovers
Bobby Darin and Sandra Dee: Dream Lovers. Title first? "Dream Lover" was a popular song by Bobby Darin. It was also the name of a biography written about the two of them by their son. I don't remember how I got into them, but I own the book and I own all three movies they did together, and I just love them. This was a promo pic or something, and I cut it out and put it over a heart for a website I was making, and then I shrunk it down for an icon. I needed an old movie icon, and this is kinda perfect. Besides, I'm a romantic. And despite their problems and issues they had alone and together, they really did love each other.
3. Profit control
Another one that I made. I got the Profit series for Adrian, and while it's terrific for eye candy, it's also an intriguing show with strong characters. Profit himself lives for control. He always has to be (and 99% of the time is) in control. He controls Gail, but with a finesse that's indefinable. And that's just him. Slick and smooth, and impenetratable. There's barely a drop of humanity left in him. If that much.
4. Starbucks Milo
Hee. This came about from a conversation with 12_12_12 one time. Someone had mentioned to her that "Ventimiglia" sounded like a Starbucks drink. Then she announced that it'd be terrific if we could just go into Starbucks and get a daily dose of Milo for $4. And so instead of Starbucks coffee, we have Starbucks Milo.
An interjection, if you will: There is also the option of instead of Starbucks coffee, we can have STARBRUCE COFFEE.
5. Billy alone
I grabbed this from a batch of Billy Joel icons. You can't see him, and I don't have any proof that it is, indeed, him, but I like the composition of it regardless. I use it when I'm feeling alone or lonely. Which, unlike the apologies, happens more than it should.
