Dear Lorelai and Rory,
With all this talk of Rory being due for a "quarter-life crisis" and Rory lamenting that her life is suddenly an abyss of fog, whereas previously, it had been abyss-less, do either of you remember last fall? Last summer to fall, to be more exact? Rory, honey, you already had a period of time where nothing was laid out. You weren't sure what was coming next. Then, suddenly, you'r all better, back to the original plan! Now is not the time to wonder what comes next. That was last year. You decided, on your own, to come back to school, and go back to the paper, etc. All of a sudden you're not sure again?
If you don't remember what it was like last fall, I have a few videos I'd like to show the two of you. I think you'll agree that you did the "crisis" thing already. And if that didn't help you, maybe it's time to take a nice, long look at what's going on. Don't run away from it, don't whine about it. Figure it out. You can whine about it while you're figuring it out -- I'm all for that -- but you need to deal with stuff for once in your life.
Dealing. That brings me back to you, Lorelai. You're not dealing with stuff. With anything. You're running away. Burying yourself in the past. In what you think is your future. You're clinging to this relationship with Christopher to keep from losing yourself. But what you don't see is... it's not working.
Both of you, my dear Lorelais, need to figure stuff out. Look at the past, look at the future. And make changes in the present.
Much love,
Adina
