Xander had taken to pacing in front of the apartment door. In his mind, pacing was going to magically make them answer the door a little faster. Oh, magic! Maybe he was barking up the wrong tree here. Will and Tara could do some of their mojo and make him less glowy and more penis-having. Why he didn't think of that in the first place...

He was about to turn and leave when the door opened up. His eyes moved over Buffy, because let's face it - Xander's a man and it's the type of thing they do - plus, she was standing there in her pajamas. It was her question that brought him out of his hormonally charged thoughts and he stared at her for a brief second before holding out his hands.

"I'm all glowy!" He exclaimed as he waved his hands in her face. "And my penis is going to fall off!"

Xander grimaced at the latter statement, while making a note to kick his brain later for allowing him to talk first, think later.

"I-I...Cordy did it! She came back with this ugly demon named Steve or Stu or something, and they made me glowy! They said something about dying from the vision so they made me a demon!" He then jumped back. "You kill demons! This makes us mortal enemies now, doesn't it?"

He sniffled a bit and shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans. "I don't want to be all glowy, Buffy," Xander said, sounding more like a child than a grown man.

Buffy quickly stepped back as Xander started to rant about being glowy and his penis falling off. "What?" she asked as her eyebrows rose. "Xander! I don't want to hear about your penis." She was glad Wes wasn't obsessed with his penis like most guys where. Even though he was pretty good at using it.

Right. Best friend standing in the doorway with...glowing hands. "Cordy?" she asked as she took Xander's hands into her own. There was some glowing coming off of them. Buffy then looked up at Xander when he said something about being half-demon because it was the only way he could have the visions. She nodded her head, knowing there had to be a reason it had happened.

"We'll figure something out, Xander," Buffy said as she ushered him in. "And I'm not going to kill you. Unless you go on a killing spree first. Then we'll have issues." She gave him a warm smile to show she was only kidding with him. "I think Wes should probably have a look at this."

Turning, Buffy looked toward the loft, seeing Wesley's shadow. She figured he'd heard the conversation and she didn't have to go up and get him. "He'll be here in a moment," she said as she led Xander to the couch. "I'll get you some juice." She gave him another smile and went to the kitchen.

Wesley's brow furrowed as Xander explained what was going, talking about glowing hands and penises falling off...and Cordy making him a demon? What the bloody hell was going on here?

Then it hit him. Doyle, who had the visions before Cordelia, had been a demon. Half-Bracken, to be precise. And according to what he had been told, while the visions had given Doyle headaches, they hadn't been anywhere near as debilitating for him as they had been for Cordelia - because full humans were never meant to carry the visions.

That must have been why - if that truly had been Cordelia who had visited Xander again - she and that other demon had made Xander demon. Or at least part. Full demons looked nothing human, which suggested that Xander was only part.

Just then, he heard Buffy mention his name and realized she must have seen him on the landing. So he came around the corner and down the stairs as she went into the kitchen.

"I heard what happened," he said, crossing over to Xander and crouching down. "If I understand correctly, you said Cordy and this demon did something to you to make you demon?" He took Xander's hand - sure enough, it was glowing as though his blood had been infused with some sort of luminescent property. "Only demons can ever carry the visions safely for long periods of time. I guess they felt this was the only way to help you."

He sat back on his haunches. "Did they say anything to you about this? Anything about what kind of demon they were making you? That might help us with this."

Xander let out the breath he didn't know he was holding. Sweet mercy of God, Buffy wasn't going to kill him. He knew how vicious Buffy could be; after all, she had killed the love of her life - without a second thought. With a long sigh, he sunk down on the couch. "Juice would be of the good," he told her, his attention on his hands.

He was almost ready to get up and start the pacing again. It kept his mind off his current state. When he heard someone coming down the steps, Xander turned and raised his eyebrows. Now, why was Wes coming down from Giles' bedroom? His eyes then narrowed. That bastard made Buffy sleep on the couch! It was probably some weird Watcher things. Buffy wasn't Wesley's Slayer and he had no right to make her sleep on the couch.

"Hey!" Xander cried when Wesley took his hand. He pulled it away and crossed his arms. "How many times do I gotta tell you people I was made into a demon?" He roughly rubbed his forehead and took another deep breath. "They didn't say. The demon was in a hurry to go home to his wife. Figures a demon would have a better life than me."

He buried his head in his hands and thought about everything that had happened in the last twenty-four hours. If Xander were honest with himself, which is rarely was, he would see there was something going on. Wes had been the one who Buffy had turned to the day before. Xander rose his head and looked at him. "You're taking care of you, right? Because if you get evil on her, like Angel did, I'll shove a sword in you myself."

Buffy open the fridge and pulled out the orange juice. She was glad Wes and her had brought a few things with them from Los Angeles or everything would be bare. After getting a glass out, she poured some, almost dropping it when she heard Xander exclaiming about something. She peeked around the corner in time to see him pull his hand away from Wes.

She stood there, watching them talk. Buffy wanted them to at least get along. She was in love with Wesley and best friends with Xander. She didn’t see herself breaking up with Wes anytime soon so they had to learn how to get along. And, if they didn’t, then she was going to kick both of their asses until they did.

Buffy was about to step out when she heard Xander’s words. Smirking, she shook her head and walked the rest of the way out. “I don’t think Wes will be losing his soul anytime soon,” she said as she handed the juice to Xander. “Besides, if he does, it’s my job to stab him with a sword.” She gave Wesley a small wink and sat down beside Xander.

“So, what’s the verdict, Wes? Do I need to kill him?”

They didn't tell Xander what kind of demon he was being made into. Well, that helped things immensely. What exactly did they expect him to do - discover his new abilities by accident and possibly injure himself or others in the process. He was already freaked out enough by the fact that he was glowing.

"All right. I can think of about ten demons off-hand with the ability to glow for different reasons," he told Xander. "I'll try to help you figure out what they made you into, so you can..."

Suddenly, Xander was looking up at him, and Wesley trailed off as he asked his question. He felt his heart start to pound. Did he know? But before he could answer, Buffy was replying for him, breaking the ice, as it were.

"I don't believe you do," he told her. "The demons I know offhand that glow are all of the good kind, and since Xander got these visions from the Powers, they want them used to help us. And I promise, Xander, that I'll help you deal with this, whatever it takes."

He then looked over at Buffy and smiled before glancing back at Xander. "And I promise that I'll continue to take care of Buffy too. I'll never hurt her if I can help it. Otherwise, you both have my permission to run me through."

Relief ran over Xander when Wes said he would research more. He didn't mind Wes getting all Giles-y if it meant he would find out what he was. He then turned his attention to Buffy and nodded his head. Xander knew Buff could take care of herself but he just wanted to make sure Wes wasn't out to get all Watcher on her and do something stupid - like send her to the Council for them to experiment on her.

"You're obsessed with killing me, aren't you?" He asked Buffy before he stood from the couch. He looked over at Wes and smirked. "Don't worry, Watcher boy. The first time you hurt Buff, I'll sic Anya on you. And believe me, even without being a demon, she's still scary." He picked up his jacket and slipped it back on. "And, speaking of Anya, I need to go to work so I have money to buy her pretty things."

Xander put his jacket on and glanced down at his hands. "Hey, look!" He said, holding them up. "No more glowy parts. Lets just hope they don't start glowing while I'm in the middle of hammering something." He went over to the door and opened it. "See you guys later. And call me if you find out what kind of demon I am, especially if it's something cool like one that can walk through walls or has x-ray vision."

He snorted at the and left the apartment.
