we have a future.

there is eternity ahead of us,

and history behind us,

and we are here in the middle

together.

have survived the end of the world

and a smile appears across my face.

as the ashes begin to curl,

we walk hand in hand down ruined city streets,

we lose ourselves together in wreckage piled high,

and here we are

amidst the destruction

in love.

paradoxical, some may say

but i see perfection.

with the ruins of civilization,

and darkness on the horizon,

it is just you and i now,

and we have just begun to

reclaim the world...
