home sweet home
so yeah, i'm back in the states & i have been for about a week.... although extremely glad to be home (i.e. not in class, not getting heat rash & hives from 40 degree celcius weather, not putting up with cranky tourists, etc.), i'm feeling a large void in my life... i have done absolutely nothing since i have gotten home other than:
* check my facebook, lj, hotmail, myspace, etc.
* practiced a little of my mad drumming skills... mom got me a new ashika drum for graduation... it's the "inspiration" for my trip to africa that i would have gone on had it not been for russia this year... maybe next, and if i don't have the cash, the year after... but i AM going.
* unpacked my suitcases & attempted to rearrange my living space... didn't work out so well.
* checked out some tunes from my buddy john's podcast... some pretty sweet shit.
* went into work the other day & they told me i'd have to come back later to check if i had a job for the rest of the summer... since i won't be able to start until august 19th, i haven't really had any motivation to go back in.
* taken the dogs for a walk, because i missed them so very much.
* went with my bro to t.c. to pick up his new futon.
* brushed up on my mario all stars skills while revisiting my childhood on my brother's laptop.
* tried desperately to get over jetlag. not working.
yeah, other than that, i've been a complete waste of human flesh. that's really sad... the weather's gorgeous, and i haven't been to the beach... i'm not working, and i have absolutely no responsibility whatsoever right now other than the fact that i should be working on my paper, so i actually get the piece of paper saying i graduated. i have time for that shit i guess. i need to:
* get ahold of my high school friends who are still in town (are there any?).
* find a REAL job.
* find some serious hobbies, preferably ones that result in cash.
* maybe start applying for something like the peacecorps or something of the sort.
anyway, yeah, i was sort of productive & updated this thing... if you can count that as being productive... and now on to the shower.
