greetings from groningen!

hello everyone! i don't imagine i will be posting too much on this, but who knows... maybe i'll start! right now i'm in groningen (holland), staying with family and having a lovely time (despite the miserable weather). i've gotten to see the city & experience things through living with my family here. the town is very beautiful... maritini tower, the fish market, the canals & bridges, etc. i'm heading off to amsterdam for almost a week, so that should be fun as well.

as for russia, i learned a lot and had a good time. last time with a tour agency though, too many headaches, too much time on a bus, one way too long opera, etc. we did end up seeing peterhof, which was fricken sweet, and the kirov made the whole trip worthwhile. that was seriously the most amazing performance i've ever seen in my life in terms of technicality, execution, & artistic ability. just amazing. i ate porridge for breakfast when i was in russia. it was yummy.

being a tour guide in paris was a heck of a good time. i showed my little group 'paris in one day' and it was a long one i'm not going to lie. it was really sad to see everyone leave, in fact, i cried. i ended up hosteling around because the one person i was going to stay with bailed on me at the last minute... no luck w/ the couch. it's okay though, because i wouldn't have met wonderful people from canada & had a fabulous time with them! and i probably wouldn't be here, typing in holland, staring out the window at the downpour.

in any event, i miss all of my family & wonderful friends... i love you all so very much!

i miss combos & peanut butter & arizona iced tea. it's okay though, because the wine flows freely & there's cheese!

i miss grey's anatomy too. i'll have to invest in the series on dvd when i get home. and maybe somebody taped it!

i can't wait to meet my host mother in paris! she sounds very sweet, and hopefully my french will improve greatly because of living with her! i need to get ahold of the louzons while i'm there... it's been a long time since i've seen them! i still don't know which classes i'm taking there... part of me just doesn't care as long as i pass that damn diplome & get credit for it!

well, that's it for now, if you want pictures... facebook's the place to find them!
