Leaving, on a jet plane...

( Translated from my Japanese post on Gree )

Yesterday, I went to Asakusa and bought some souvenirs. After that, I came back to the dorm and today I have to return to the states, so I cleaned up my room. Last night, almost everyone went clubbing and stuff, but I was tired so I stayed in. A group of people said they wanted to go to Tsukiji [Fish Market in Tokyo]. So, this morning I went to Tsukiji. We started out at 6am, so I'm really tired now.

At Tsukiji, I had the best sushi I've ever eaten in my life. It's probably because it only died this morning. Also, going to the fish market was really cool. When I come back to Japan, I definitely have to go back to Tsukiji.

After Tsukiji, I went to Asakusa again. Compared to yesterday when it was after closing time for nearly all the shops, this morning was before they opened. Since it was so early, there were middle schoolers everywhere.

I went back to the dorm [after Asakusa] and did a little packing and headed to the airport. Getting to Ueno on the subway was a little bit of a bother. But, I did find the Limited Express to Narita. It was the same entrance and exit as the Skyliner [Express Train to Narita] and my Suica Card [awesome invention - kinda like a debit card] didn't have enough on it for that, so I was a little worried. But everything was the daijobes. It only cost me ¥1000 ($8.63). The Skyliner was only 15 minutes faster and about double the price, so I don't think it's all that useful.

Now, it's about 7am at home (actually, 7:30) and we've got about 2 hours (90 minutes) before we land, so breakfast time is soon. I want to see my family and friends again, but I don't want to leave Japan yet. But, I'm already on the plane, so I guess it can't be helped now. I definitely have to come back to Japan someday.
