I can't believe that AD might actually be gone soon. i had been expecting something to happen and now that it has it still hurts. i hope that the show stays on the air. it is the greatest show on tv and IMO it is the greatest show ever.

The following is from myspace.com/arresteddevelopment

I am declaring November 16th the first of many Worldwide Save Arrested Development Days. On November 16th we will not contact networks (my reason is below) but we will contact the media! David Letterman, Conan O'Brien, Howard Stern, Jay Leno, Ellen D, Jon Stewart & the ladies at The View along with TV Guide, EW & Variety. I kept the list down to people who understand our situation, have a large audience and who will most likely be willing to help us, as well as two entertainment magazines that appear to love the show and one that is read by everyone in Hollywood.

Nov 28th is "The Second Worldwide Save Arrested Development Day" in which we contact NBC, ABC, UPN, HBO & Showtime to let them know that this brilliant sitcom is on the market and needs a home. We will also be contacting FOX to tell them they have made a huge mistake & should reconsider & we will also contact Arrested Development's top sponsors letting them know we appreciate their support. The reason we shouldn't contact the networks/sponsors yet is because we can generate buzz by contacting the media first.

If we all work together and mail our letters on Nov 16th & Nov 28th we can accomplish something great and hopefully help save the show. Keep reading for more details about both dates.

PLAN OF ACTION

Nov 16th: contact the media to generate some attention. Let them know we love the show, need help to save it & would appreciate their helped.
-By the time our letters arrive Jason Bateman will begin his talk show visits hitting The View on Nov 22 & Conan on the 24th, and I'm sure this campaign will be mentioned.
-The talk shows we contact will hopefully pimp the show and bring AD more viewers. They will also get the attention of networks.
-Same with the entertainment magazines.

Nov 28th: By this time we will hopefully have some buzz around the show and the networks will surely know that the fans are working to keep it alive.
-We contact FOX and let them know we love the show, they are making a huge mistake & should allow this show to win over an audience, it took Seinfeld 2 full seasons, give AD the same.
-We contact AD's sponsors telling them we appreciate their support, mention which demographic we fall into/if we are a Nielson box owner & ask them to continue supporting AD in the future.
-We contact other networks and let them know this amazing show might be on the market and they should jump at the chance to pick it up.

We can't plan any further into the future, too much can happen so this will be updated as the days pass.

THE LETTERS & ADDRESSES

Before you begin your letters consider the following:

Letters cost .37 cents to mail, so if you send out $5 worth of stamps, that is 13 letters. Postcards cost .23 cents each, but you will have to buy photo paper which is about $5 for 20 sheets & ink if you don't have any, which can run higher than $10. It will be cheaper to send letters, but if you prefer postcards, I will have some printable postcards up tomorrow (11/15). You MUST print them out on photo paper, otherwise they will be too fragile to mail and will tear almost immediately.

For the message itself, here are some key points you want to include in whatever you write but please keep your letters SHORT! Keep it short & to the point so that your letter is read rather than tossed away due to its length

-Why do you enjoy the show & why it deserves to return.

-Your age, this will be important when we contact the networks & FOX because I believe a great deal of its audience are Males 18-25 and that is a demographic sponsors have been trying to crack. When it comes time to update for the Nov 28th letters, I will include more important notes.

-Mention this website www.myspace.com/arresteddevelopment so they can direct unaware fans to our campaign and we can build a larger following.

-Mention this campaign is worldwide with fans all over the world participating, many from Canada, the UK, Australia, & even New Zealand.
-Suggest ways they can help, for talk show hosts a few might be: discussing our campaign and this site (www.myspace.com/arresteddevelopment), read some of our mail onscreen, ask other networks to consider picking up the show, do a segment on the show, invite the cast to visit the show and basically promote the show and ask their audience to give it a chance.

-A few ways the magazines can help: put the Bluths on their cover urging their readers to save them, that would be the best way. A spread inside the magazine targeting networks to pick up the show & readers to watch the show is another. Even a column would be great, whatever they can do to help.

-The emmys it has won, the amazing praise it has received from critics, etc.

Here are the addresses for the Nov 16th mail off. PLEASE wait until the 16th to send out your letters.
