Today in book publishing
Received my "normalized Word TS" to use in preparing my index. It's a monstrosity - 622 pages, almost unreadably ugly - but I take it on faith that the crazy things that have been done to the format in this version will all play their part in the typesetting process.
I started brainstorming index entries last week and it was actually fun for a lot more than 10 minutes. The project quickly got swamped by the day-to-day grind of keeping up with my day job, though. 1.5 more weeks of classes to go.
