Just watched myself some QI on the genius that is the iplayer. I pretty much get all televisual entertainment through that nifty little thing at the moment. This means I have been watching lots of random stuff that I ordinarily wouldn't, my favourite of which has to currently be Oz and James Drink to Britain in which Oz Clarke and James May travel round Blighty in an old caravan getting pissed up on local ales and whatnot. It's absolutely hilarious as they both get progressively more drunk/hungover during the episode and thus more grumpy and waspish with each other. It's especially funny when James May quickly downs a pint, forcing Oz to be the designated driver for the day.
Anyway, QI was supposed to be the reward for doing some work, but became simply the reward for getting up! My plan for the day (well, afternoon) is as follows:
-- Spend an hour editing the first 3000 words of my essay, before cracking on with the last 500.
-- Reward self with trip to the high street to buy dinner, rescue remedy and some kind of heavy duty sleeping tablet in the hope that I can fall asleep before 3 tonight. The weather was horrendous, so I rewarded myself with a nice long chat on the phone with my mumsy instead!
-- Continue revision for exam on Monday. Memorize some quotes/names/passages from Madame Bovary and The Red and the Black.
-- Reward self with dinner and Battlestar Galactica viewage.
-- Continue revision, this time with Anna Karenina.
-- Reward self with sleeeeeeeep.
-- Do it all again tomorrow!
Just writing that list has made my chest tighten and my stomach turn! I cannot believe I chose a module with an exam in it, particularly as my essay went less than stellar. I cannot wait for Monday afternoon, the sleep I shall indulge in will be epic!
