I haven't posted for a while, slight update on the goings on at casa de Marks/Shimek
or should it be Shimek/Marks...
Eh, Either way it'll be Marks/Marks soon enough.
Anyways, post Pat's Cabin Happenings.
Dumping the Star Trib thing end of this week. Not really a money maker there, and the 2:00 AM to 7:00 AM thing was a beotch.
So instead, working down the road at a local gas station part time.
Not a bad gig, save for it's so mind numbingly dull.
Also have classes lined up next semester. Tuesdays and Thursdays. They go to the wedding, which is nice cause I think they end right before the wedding.
22 classes to go now, not including the 2 next semester.
Things with me and Karen are going well. Nothing really new or supprising going on in that area save for we're both happy, even if we are both working our asses off and aren't seeing each other as much as we'd like on the weekdays.
Ahh well, you do what you need to to get ahead in life.
Getting a nice raise at my primary job which is nice. Unfortunately, it's basically putting me in line with the rest of the market now in terms of pay which means I wasn't getting paid as much as I should have been since I started the whole appraisal thing. Eh, working for relatives has upsides though.
Also, working on this Access Database project for a company down the hall from here. Somewhat complex, and will take a while, but it's good money, and something I can put on a resume or flyer for other businesses as I do more advertising on my little side project business.
Other then that, not much else really happening, just more of above really. Want to get out and bike some weekend to the cities, but that may not happen till later in August.
