It's been a while since I really updated anything or anyone to anything really, so here's a synopsis of the goings on of late.
10: Busy busy busy busy busy busy
20: goto 10
We have new carpet and wondows in the house now. It looks really good and the windows will help to sell it a few years from now. The carpet's sweet as well. We got this really cool stuff in the basement that's make of the same material that they use on the inside of pop cans (so the guy said) so that it won't ever stain. I'm getting the basement a little more how I want it to be, minus a projector screen. That'll be a few weeks, if not months at this point. The aforementioned carpet and windows adding a bit to the bills and all.
Secondly, what I haven't mentioned in the past. Our cat, George, has diabeties now. We've been giving him insulin shots and he's doing better, but he may have to get them the rest of his life unfortunately. Ahh well. The things you do for animals.
Also started a paper route in the mornings on weekends. I get up at 2:30 or so in the morning and drive around dropping off papers. It's not that bad, but it's not something I want to do for a living.
The appraisal job is going pretty well. I'm getting to know the emminent domain and right of way firlds of being an appraiser really well. Started doing the cost approach now on this last batch of reports. There are three approaches you can use when valuing real estate, and the cost and income approaches are harder and more complicated then the sales comparison approach that most appraisers use when doing houses.
In unrealted happenings, I bought a boat! Not by trying to though. It's a Span America brand that hasen't been around since the 60's and it's got a motor and trailer... and it's a pile to put it mildly. It still floats I think, but the trailer needs all new tires, the Boat itself needs TONS of work, and the motor is not in running condition at the moment. I looked over the motor, and I think it's still good but one of the combustion chambers has stripped threds on it, meaning I have to take off a piece and try to get a new one before I can see if it will run or not. Otherwise, the motor seems to be in ok shape. No major rust or damage that I saw otherwise. This will be a LONG term project for me.
Lastly, starting college again. Going to classes tonight, and monday, wednesday, and thursday I'll be in class from 6:00 to 9:30. I'm going for a B.S. in Management information systems, which should match well with my A.A.S. in Network Admin. Have 24 classes total to take to complete the degree, and in 4 years, taking 2 classes every semester, I'll be done.
Also, things are progressing well with me and Karen towards the marriage thing. We've got the bulk of things down and ready for the wedding and a bunch of it's paid for or has deposits down to secure what we want. December 9th is the day! I'm pretty psyched about it.
Other then that, having a garage sale next saturday and sunday at Karen's place, and my grandmother is comming up on saturday and moving back to Minnesota. Not that's at all really important, but i'm happy she's comming back up here. She's been in Wisconsin for the longest time.
That's all I can think of for now... Oh, and we're going to be on a weekend retreat for church in June. It's a couples thing prior to marriage. Should be interesting.
