Golden Sun Fandom History Survey

Hello, adepts_gs! How are all you lovely people? I come bearing a survey which I would love to have you all fill out. Your input would be much appreciated, as I'm hoping to put together a fandom history of sorts for Golden Sun Universe, our fandom's wiki. We want to expand the fandom articles there, and this is the starting point for that. It's nothing hard

Part 2 because I'm compulsively TL;DR

What are your thoughts on Dark Dawn? In two words: "wasted potential". They could have done some great things with it, and instead there was a bunch of annoying filler that they could have used for character and plot development instead of idle chatter about pigeons.

So, yeah, in conclusion I'd like a sequel that clears up some of the fail.

Which GS game is your favorite? They all have places in my heart. The Lost Age is far and away the best overall, but the original has nostalgia value, and Dark Dawn (I just wrote it as Dark Darn by accident)... it had potential. I like the characters they introduced, and if they hadn't dicked around on the storyline so much, it could have been good, too...

Which is your favorite out of the first two? Again, it's hard to choose, but probably The Lost Age.

Which element is your favorite? Very difficult to answer. Jupiter and Mars get all the awesome characters, but Mercury and Venus... again, potential. There are some interesting things they could have done with those two elements. They didn't happen.

I'm going to go with either Mercury or Mars as my favorite. Mars has the Mars Clan, which are awesome, and the Champa Adepts are Mars Adepts, too. But Mercury has Mia and her underappreciated kids, and Piers.

Which Adept is your favorite? Again, hard to say. Karst is my usual go-to for everything, though, so for convenience I'll say she's my favorite.

However, I also have a soft spot for minor characters like Himi Feizhi, and also characters who weren't given the recognition they could have had for their achievements: Mia was a medical professional with her own students AS A TEENAGER in the first game, so she's clearly quite brilliant in her own right, and TV Tropes has recently pointed out that Agatio is a genre-savvy BAMF for what little screentime he has in TLA.

Is there anything else fandom-related you'd like to share? No, but I've got some questions of my own:

Does anybody know where I can find a real, current Golden Sun ship-name listing? 'cause GS Wiki's page on shipping doesn't have any Dark Dawn ships except Dawn-shipping listed, but I know there are other ships with goofy names.

I would also love to find some more active Golden Sun communities so I can talk headcanon, speculation, shipping, etc. with people.

Would you be willing to participate in further surveys on this subject? Yes! I love excuses to babble about GS.

The only active GS fansite I can really recommend is the Temple of Kraden, if you ever feel like giving it another shot. Also, you've got the wrong address for the GS wiki; we've moved off of Wikia to this location.

Thaaaat explains the fail shiplist on the Wikia site. Is there no way to remove the Wikia site or link to the new location on the homepage?

I'll have to look up Temple of Kraden again, one of these days.
