Golden Sun DS speculative fanfic challenge/contest
(NOTE: This is not the official post yet - this is just a feeler post!)
Hello, everyone! dracobolt and I would like to make a modest proposal to all of you - a GSDS fanfic challenge!
Basically, you would take the characters from the GSDS poster (here's a link) and write a story set after the first two games involving these characters.
"But wait!" you say. "We don't know what these characters are like, or even what their names are!"
Ah, but that's exactly the point! What do you think these characters are like? What do you think their names should be (you can use the placeholder names the fandom has given them, or use entirely new names - personally I want to see Robin renamed to "Siegfried", just for the crack factor), and what kind of journey do you think they're on?
Some other points:
1. No real length limit - it can be as long or as short as you want.
2. Deadline would be April 1st or thereabouts. Would that work for people, or do y'all want something different?
3. dracobolt and I will be crossposting this challenge to a number of different places (including but not limited to deviantArt and GameFAQs), but if this goes through, what we'll probably do is allow people to post wherever they want, but then centralize the links at two main places (one of them being LJ).
4. Would you prefer this if it were just a challenge, or if it were a judged contest with prizes? If it's the latter, I'm willing to offer the winner a GS-themed CG of their choice. You can check out my deviantArt here, although be warned that it's been millennia since I've drawn GS fanart, so if you want a better estimation of where I'm at right now, you're better off looking at most of my Bomberman stuff.
So, would anybody be interested in tackling this, either as a challenge or a contest? Let us know!
