Experiences like this save me.
I watch the car in front of me. Our speed is the same; we tear through the universe together. A dog in the car, with its head out the window, pushing through the air, is completely immersed in a rush of everything it doesn't understand. I see myself and the reason life is infinitely amazing and confusing. On a sunny day, with shadows of clouds darkening everything ahead, as the road slopes downward, I descend into something amazing: into awe. I feel stunned by my surroundings, as if I'd never seen anything before. I feel aware of yet almost free from all of my associated memories as they flow loosely around me. I feel euphoric as I indulge in the richness of confusion. Everything swirls into the mesh of my consciousness, changing me. I feel safe in chaos.
