I forgot to mention my apparent stardom over the weekend. My friend Ritchie was at the gym on Sunday and he saw me on TV. He got all excited about it because I didn't even tell him I was going to the march and so he was just watching casually and all the sudden, there I was. He called Dad and Craig and John and told them all about it, so they had to try to catch it themselves. Dad tried once and missed it and didn't think to try again or even try to record it so that I could see what on earth I was doing. Craig and John, however, were more successful in finding it and they were so amused or pleased by my TV appearance that they left the news on all day and ran back in the room every time they did an update on the march. Apparently I was so enthusiastic in my march support that the news program used the clip with me in it and the beginning and end of every broadcast relating to the march, so Craig and John got to see me on TV 7 times during the day. I was baffled by this because I definitely saw news cameras, but I wasn't going out of my way to get in front of them, in fact I have a tendency to avoid being in front of cameras at all costs, so I don't know how they caught me in the first place. The even more baffling thing was that I was evidently dancing for the camera, and this is impossible because I don't recall dancing at any point in time on the entire trip, and I certainly wouldn't have been doing that anyway if I knew there was a camera anywhere in the vicinity. However, the guys are sticking to their story...Craig says, "But yes, you were definitely dancing for the camera, or as Ritchie put it "shakin' yo bootie." John had to laugh every time he saw you, it was so cute. We were so impressed that of all the hundreds of thousands of people attending the march, we got to see you shaking yo' bootie for the camera. Did your dad tape it?" I tried to find out if Michelle or Dana were on TV as well so I at least wouldn't have been alone, but I haven't actually talked to Craig yet, and he didn't mention anything about seeing Meesh there with me (since he has met her before and would have recognized her too). So, I don't know, it's all very strange, a big conspiracy...and I'm embarrassed that I got on camera without even knowing it and now I can't even see it because Craig's VCR doesn't record anymore and my father doesn't understand modern technology or something like that. Very bizarre.
