(no subject)
the CT film festival was great. we got in, looked at the small town of danbury, and thought to ourselves "is this gonna be bogus?" but it wasn't! the first screening had a fairly full house and we got some nice laughs so that eased our worries. the festival put adam and i up at a hotel (which was 5 miles away so we had to take a cab but still) and that felt rather nice. the next afternoon, we feared our screening would just be adam and i since it was at 1:30pm on a weekday. however, emma, adam s., and our neighbors clay and christina all came up to see it, which meant a lot. they all enjoyed themselves and i took a nice nap on the ride back to brooklyn.
it was good to see people's reactions and realize certain things that needed to be tweaked or dropped or added or whatever. not that we're basing our choices on other people but certainly it helped to see the film from a "first timer's" perspective. we're so close to it, you know? anyway, it was a wonderful experience.
