Here's the truth: I grew up loving hello kitty and all the sanrio stuff that was popular (or so it seemed) in the early eighties for young children... That's right, people. I had hello kitty scissors at age five and i cried so much when i lost them that my poor mother scoured the local area for them when i promised (ad finitum) that I would never lose another pair. ( I didn't. they got too dull to be used eventually... and i moved on. probably the only time *that's* ever happened ;) ) This also has translated to a "little twin stars" pencil sharpener, which amazingly still works @.@
So, in this world where an old ex boyfriend's hello kitty plushie is still around (mostly because i haven't been able to decide if it's okay to give it away... i mean it's in great condition and all...) and i have hello kitty magnets from my best friend, I have also found that I am succumbing to that great tradtion: make fun of that which you have loved! Thus: KAWAII NOT.
It's like sanrio... but snarky and a little bit kinky or gross sometimes. It's things like this that make me glad to be a grownup :D (my favorite one... is with the red apple... look through the archives. hee!)
