New York Has Tall Buildings, New Jersey Has Its Malls, Pisa's Got A Leaning Tower Will It Ever Fall
Not a bad day. Not bad at all.
Got up in the AM and we took Wassie to the Dog Jog/Dog Walk event. It was an event to raise money for the Citizens for Humane Action Animal shelter ( http://www.chaanimalshelter.org/ ). Mom, Wass, and I did just the mile walk. Wass isn't really well trained on the lead, and so bascially I was pulled the whole time by my very strong dog. :) He's not had a whole lot of socialization with random dogs so it was also necessary to becareful if he got close to other Males. All in all tho it was good for him to get out. Both before and after we took him for short runs off lead away from all the goings on.
Afternoon wise I went on a hunt for colorful buttons, patterened ribon, and and other things to add to the goodie bag for my stamp club meeting next week. Opted on a neat little glitter pen that I think the others will like for cards and stuff. The ribbon is more my kind of thing, but it goes well with the theme and other selected colors. Yes, I am anal about this. Once I had everything at home it all got organized into the bags so I'm ready next Saturday.
Lastly, went down to North Market. Had some Ice Cream at Jeni's even tho it's cold cause I was there, but primarily went to make my terrine order for next weekend. :D Am so excited about this!!!! The terrine will be of passionfruit sherbet, red raspberry sorbet, and mango lassi ice cream. Jeni's sherbets are nothing like normal sherbet. They have a much creamier texture... and that passionfruit stuff is omfgomfgomfg really good. Jeni seemed excited at the combo and I do too. Colorwise it'll be gorrrrrgeous, soft yellow and soft orange colors on the outside with the pop of the reddish pink sorbet in the middle. I will be getting some whipped cream to splurt on the side so i have a platform for my rainbow sprinkles too. I can't help that I have to carry my theme through the food too. Anyway *SQUEES* ice cream terrine!!! OH! and jenni got a nod in the current food and wine magazine issue :D for her awesome skillz and attention to organics etc. She's is so still my hero (plus she and charly got engaged in provence a couple weeks ago! yay!!!)
only downer of the day: the crew regatta mom was going to see her friends row at got cancelled. :/ they said there were whitecaps on the reservoir. Such a bummer... cause that means the gals won't have gotten to row in a regatta at all this season. They may not have boats available next year either. Fingers crossed that they get something together tho, and that of they do, that they will get to row in a regatta next year.
