My Day = Reading for Tess's class.
Wanna know what I read? No, you don't but I'm gonna give you synopsis anyway, cause I'm generous like that.
1)The Green Book (of the House Ways and Means Committee) Chapters 3 & 7 from 2004. = about 170 pages together.. Lotta economteric stuff. Whole lotta tables. Lotta Lotta data.
2) Article out of the journal of Human Resources from a few years ago about transition to TANF from AFDC etc... approx 25 pages
3) Article out ot rhe Journal of Politics from 2003 on "race to the bottom" regarding the magnetic/benefits comparison hypotheses on welfare recipients. Somewhere between 25-30 pages.
5) Working paper from an NBER conference that's really just a long chapter on the EITC. Not a bad chapter... Just long. About 70 pages total.
6) A few fast facts maps looking comparatively across the states on: maximum family benefits, time limits across states (in total and intermittent), and one more :/ (work requirements maybe? can't recall.)
Yeah... So, that's my day :) That and class. Well except for while I was doing all of this, I've been having a TMBG fest. Listened to Apollo 18, Lincoln, and then the dialasong compilation as well. :) The readings got boring at times, but I was bouncing along so it wasn't a big deal. I am such a goof.
